ASPIRANCY
The Vocation to the consecrated life is a special call; it’s an election or a choice by God. The one who perceives the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to live a committed life as religious is welcomed to our congregation. The candidate will be gradually initiated to discern her vocation in the congregation. The journey to become a Salvatorian sister is experienced in the context of prayer and community. The candidate considering the religious life meets regularly with the Directress to discern her call. When she feels an attraction to the spirit lived in this congregation she is promoted to live as an Aspirant. In order to discern her call she is placed in one of our local communities which is set apart for the formation.
An aspirant gets familiarized with its history, traditional way of life, dedicated to the service and through education and community training prepares herself get tuned for a new life. The criteria for initiation is the awareness of God’s call, the right motivation, a strong Catholic faith, sufficient physical health, a balanced attitude of mind and will and the ability to undertake the life and works of the congregation.
